Dreams and Nightmares

Dreams and Nightmares is a unisex eau de parfum by L’Epoque Parfums, launched in 2026 and composed by Elena Valdivieso Ruiz, a perfumer at Robertet. This earthy woody scent brings together pink pepper, cardamom, eucalyptus and bergamot in the top, patchouli, petrichor and wet earth in the heart, and moss and amber woods in the base.

L’Epoque Parfums calls Dreams and Nightmares bright yet dark, and earthy. It arranges the notes on three levels: pink pepper, cardamom, eucalyptus and bergamot in the top; patchouli, petrichor and wet earth in the heart; moss and amber woods in the base.

The Smell of Rain

Petrichor and wet earth, the house insists, give the smell of the ground just after rain, before everything dries. The eucalyptus, it specifies, has nothing medicinal about it: it passes like cold air from a window one did not think was open.

The base of moss and amber woods is described as warm, a little dark and slightly feral. The house finds it dark without being heavy, earthy in a living way.

What the Label Declares

The list published by the house is short: alcohol, fragrance and water, two UV filters, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and ethylhexyl salicylate, denatonium benzoate, a bittering agent that makes the alcohol unfit for drinking, and tert-butyl alcohol.
