Ijtimāʿ is a unisex fragrance by Hunayn, released in 2026 in the The Finite collection and sold for 450 dollars. Concentrated at 25% and composed by the house, it sets three lotuses and five tobaccos, water and smoke, against each other, around which stand kinam, oud wood, ambergris, civet, Damask rose and saffron. The size remains unknown.
Glass bottle hand-engraved on both faces, bearing the name Ijtimāʿ calligraphed by the Afghan artist Khatera Naderi.
The bottle of Ijtimāʿ bears an engraving applied by hand, on both the front and the back. Hunayn specifies neither the engraving technique nor the size, and gives no measurement of the glass.
The name is calligraphed by Khatera Naderi, an Afghan calligrapher whose work was commissioned remotely and delivered through written exchanges. The house distinguishes this credit from that of the composition, which it attributes to itself.
Hunayn recounts that holding the first engraved bottle clarified the meaning of the fragrance: the letters on the glass themselves form an ijtimāʿ, form and meaning gathered into a single indivisible thing.
