Man Wood Essence Parfum

Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Parfum is the Parfum version of Man Wood Essence, created by Alberto Morillas according to the house and presented as the woodiest creation in the Bvlgari Man collection. Coriander essence and Sichuan pepper open it, cypress and a cashmere wood accord carry it, and a blend of intense woods fused with vetiver closes it.

The fragrance has three tiers, which the house names one by one: coriander essence and Sichuan pepper at the top; cypress essence and a cashmere wood accord in the heart; an intense wood accord, featuring patchouli, cedar and guaiac wood among others, fused with vetiver at the base.

From spice to wood

Coriander gives the opening an aromatic vibrancy, with spicy and herbaceous nuances. Sichuan pepper adds a hesperidic touch and a discreet heat that tightens the composition.

Cypress, dry and resinous, carries the vertical strength of conifers. Combined with the cashmere wood accord, it forms a warm, tactile layer.

The base reaches its maximum intensity: the intense wood accord, in which patchouli, cedar and guaiac wood come together, melts into the vetiver, which low-temperature extraction leaves true to its nature. The house classes the fragrance among the woody ones, with a woody-aromatic tagline.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol and fragrance open the list, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, an ambery wood, water, benzyl salicylate and coumarin. Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, a UV filter, and limonene come before santalol, a constituent of sandalwood, and patchouli oil.

Juniperus virginiana oil, which is Virginia cedar, appears with ethylhexyl salicylate, a second UV filter, linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone and pinene. Bergamot and lemon peel oils, citronellol, acetyl cedrene, beta-caryophyllene, linalyl acetate, geraniol and terpinolene complete this series.

Eugenol, rose ketones, farnesol, terpineol and vanillin are also listed, with an antioxidant, pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, benzyl benzoate, citral, camphor, geranyl acetate and alpha-terpinene. Three colorants close the list: CI 19140, CI 42090 and CI 60730.
