Where to buy
Blond Mountains is an eau de parfum by Baruti, announced for 2026 and available at the end of October 2026, alongside an extrait version with the same announced notes. Its name refers to the San Jacinto Mountains, in California.
The house says it started from an aromatic, leathery sketch it had been working on for a long time. During a rainy stay in Palm Springs, the creosote bush reportedly took on a roasted coffee scent above its usual gunpowder note.
That discovery provided the missing piece: recreating creosote in the rain. The creosote bush, a shrub of the deserts of the American Southwest, gives the rain a resinous, smoky scent well known to the people of the region.
What is still missing
The perfumer, olfactory family, target, price and size of Blond Mountains remain unknown. No Baruti page devoted to the fragrance could be read to date.
