Nectarine
Long called the peach-apricot, the nectarine is a peach variety derived from Prunus Persica Nucipersica. The nectarine nonetheless belongs to the same family as the peach, namely the Rosaceae. The skin of the nectarine is smooth and glossy, unlike that of the peach, which has a slight fuzz. The flesh of the nectarine is yellow, pink, white or orange and separates easily from its pit, unlike the brugnon. The nectarine is thus said to be a stone fruit. The nectarine also has numerous benefits.
The properties of nectarine
Nectarine is a fruit rich in water, containing as much as 88%. In addition to being refreshing, nectarine is an excellent diuretic. Nectarine is also rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and vitamin C (5.4 mg of vitamin C per 100 mg). Nectarine boosts the immune system while protecting it from free radicals. It is also a real asset for the heart. Indeed, nectarine helps regulate blood pressure and prevents the buildup of bad cholesterol. Finally, it should be noted that nectarine is an important source of fiber.
The use of nectarine in perfumery
Nectarine gives off a very pleasant scent, fruity, tangy, soft and sweet. This is why nectarine is used in cosmetics, for beauty products or shower gels. Nectarine is also used today in perfumery. It is featured in floral-fruity fragrances such as “Nectarine Blossom and Honey” by Jo Malone.
