Thus, in the heart of the 70s, a hippie wave blew across the entire planet. Yes, but not only that... It was also at this moment that the Jacomo house made its appearance, in the snap of a finger and as if arising from nowhere to appear everywhere.

The birth of the Jacomo house took place at the end of the 60s and is the fruit of an encounter. Indeed, it is the result of a partnership between a Frenchman and an American named Gérard Courtin and James Kaplan. True enthusiasts of art in general, whether music, fashion or contemporary art, they decided to create a house in their own image and named it Jacomo. From its very appearance, it was taken by storm by the jet-set world and, in no time, the name Jacomo was already appearing everywhere. It must be said that the house fit perfectly with the highly creative style of the 70s, displaying joyful, bold and even cheeky trends. Jacomo released its very first perfume named Eau Cendrée, in 1970. The house gave this new fragrance a particularly avant-garde vision. In fact, even its bottle was inspired by a work from the MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was a masculine fragrance that soon found its way into the most prestigious bathrooms on the planet. It was thus followed, as early as 1971, by its feminine counterpart named Chicane. This was the beginning of the fabulous Jacomo adventure.
Jacomo's other fragrances
Numerous creations followed, often described as refined and highly bold. As the house's creators explain, the secret lies in silences… Silences gather the emotion of bodies as water, at dawn, captures the scents of the night. Thus, the fragrance Silences was created in 1972, appearing as a captivating perfume built around Narcissus, Bulgarian rose and Blackcurrant, held in an elegant polished black bottle. 1980 marked the appearance of Jacomo Le Parfum, a concentrate of flowers and spices. Cœur de Parfum followed five years later. Then, in 1991, Jacomo decided to create a duo of perfumes named Les Anthracites. In the fashion of Paco Rabanne's iconic duos, these two fragrances seemed ideally designed never to exist one without the other. Numerous perfumes followed afterward, such as Ambro and Silences in 1996, Paradox in 1998, Aura in 2000, Silences Purple in 2004,… Then, a collection named Art Collection by Jacomo was created in 2010, appearing as a perfect symbiosis between art and perfumery.
Currently, the Jacomo house offers a selection of six fragrances for men and seven perfumes for women. All of them appear highly contemporary, at once refined and bold.
