Oriental by family, Legacy builds its amber warmth on a base of vanilla and musk, lifted from the opening by ginger and its spicy brightness. A creation by Maison Asrar presented as an Eau de Parfum, the composition pairs pear and bergamot in the top notes, and places jasmine and orange blossom, with their waxy and powdery facets, at the heart.

Composition

Top

Ginger opens on a spicy, warm note, crossed with an almost citrus brightness. Pear brings a sweet, soft fruity quality, while bergamot, a citrus fruit drawn from the peel of a citrus grown notably in Calabria, combines freshness, fruit and a sweet touch.

Heart

Jasmine, a white flower with a rich scent, appears here warm, sweet and slightly wild, a facet often linked to the indole it contains. Orange blossom, drawn from the flowers of the bitter orange tree, brings a waxy, sweet and powdery texture.

Base

Musk provides a woody, animalic and warm base, evoking the musky materials that modern perfumery reproduces through synthesis. Vanilla, the pod of a tropical orchid, extends the accord in a sweet, warm register, nuanced with a hint of spice.

Oriental family

The oriental family, also called amber, brings together warm, sweet and often spicy accords. In Legacy, vanilla and musk carry the bulk of it in the base, ginger adds its touch of spice from the top notes, and orange blossom its powdery grain.
