FloralThe recent creation of the house The Different Company
Far removed from houses with centuries-old histories, The Different Company is a rather recent name in the world of perfumery. Nevertheless, its expertise remains no less immense given the impressive résumés of its founders. The Different Company was born in 2000, from the hands of two perfumers among the most renowned on the planet: Jean-Claude Ellena and Thierry De Baschmakoff. Both aimed to create a house embodying Contemporary High Perfumery, a sort of anomaly in today's olfactory world, often driven by the many dictates of marketing. Thus, The Different Company holds exceptional fragrances in bottles resembling true works of art. Moreover, since the creation of The Different Company, the duo of perfumers has been joined by Luc Gabriel, another enthusiast of this world. Together, they created a house entirely independent so as to free themselves from the cost constraints imposed by the great luxury houses. This allows them to use the finest raw materials available to perfumers, to explore new territories and to embrace new codes.
The luxurious fragrances created by The Different Company
The first four fragrances by The Different Company were created by Jean-Claude Ellena and rang out like a true revolution in the world of perfumery. These revolved around osmanthus, peppered rose, iris wood or bergamot. They were available, as preferred, in a 250 ml or 10 ml bottle. They achieved immense success and are now also offered in a 100 ml size. Likewise, numerous travel bottles have since emerged within the range, taking on the international market and now being present in 44 countries. The Different Company now collaborates with the greatest perfumers in the world, letting each one express their imagination without ever being constrained. Thus, Céline Ellena, Bertrand Duchaufour, Corinne Cachen, Delphine Jelk, Alexandra Monet, Emilie Copperman and Christine Nagel are among the celebrated names who have worked for this house. The Different Company has thus become a reference found in the finest perfumeries around the world. The Different Company appears to be in perpetual pursuit of rigor, honoring the codes of traditional High Perfumery while adding a touch of modernity. Likewise, its collection of scents is now enriched with scented candles. The universe of The Different Company continues to develop, and only the future will tell where it will lead...
