GourmandSummer Fridays
Summer Fridays is an American beauty brand founded in 2018 in Los Angeles by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, launched at Sephora with a single hydrating mask. Having expanded from skincare to lip balm and hybrid makeup, it enters perfumery in March 2026 with Sunlit Vanilla, a gourmand Eau de Parfum built on vanilla.

GourmandTwo content creators, one product
Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, both beauty content creators, launched Summer Fridays in March 2018 with a single product, the Jet Lag Mask, sold exclusively at Sephora. The range has since expanded to lip care, sun protection, body care and hybrid makeup.
The house is headquartered in Los Angeles and claims a Californian, simple and portable beauty ethos. Its distribution remains centered on Sephora, with a few partners such as Cult Beauty, Selfridges and Mecca.
A capital entry in 2024
TSG Consumer Partners took a majority stake on July 25, 2024, while Prelude Growth Partners, which had entered in 2019, exited the capital. The two founders retain a significant share and continue to run the house with John Heffner, chairman and chief executive officer.
The amounts of the deal have not been disclosed. The investor states it will support product development and geographic expansion, with Western Europe targeted after the American market. The California-based fund already counts e.l.f. Cosmetics, IT Cosmetics and Huda Beauty among its beauty holdings.
Sunlit Vanilla, first fragrance
Sunlit Vanilla comes out in March 2026: the Sephora app carries it from the 16th, Sephora stores and the house's website from the 17th. The founders present it as an extension of the vanilla in their lip balm, sold for six years and remaining one of their best sellers.
The house had already dabbled in fragrance without making it a business: a limited series of three roll-on oils, vanilla, coconut and citrus, came out for the 2021 holidays. Sunlit Vanilla is its first Eau de Parfum, offered in 10 and 50 ml.
