FloralThe birth of Hello Kitty
Hello Kitty is a fictional character created by designer Yuko Shimizu in 1974, while she was working for the Japanese company Sanrio. However, it must be acknowledged that its name does not sound distinctly Japanese but rather carries British overtones. Indeed, this name was chosen because English culture was, at the time, very popular among young Japanese girls. The name Kitty is, moreover, directly inspired by the character's silhouette, since it means cat in English. At first, however, Hello Kitty was conceived for a young audience. No one knew then that it would become one of the most famous animated characters in the world. An animated series named Hello Kitty then appeared on Japanese television between 1993 and 1994. It was broadcast over 16 episodes. Its English version, meanwhile, did not appear until much later, in November 2002. Since that day, a veritable wave of cats has taken over the world. It comes in the form of video games, 3D productions or countless accessories. Let us take a closer look at what this means in terms of perfumery.
The Hello Kitty perfumes
The Hello Kitty range today comes in three perfumes intended for little girls. The first of these is an Eau de Senteur used to scent the youngest children. It is an alcohol-free fragrance woven from fresh, sweet notes based on red fruits. The other is an Eau de Toilette named Hello Kitty, a fragrance full of gourmand charm and mischief. Like all the other Hello Kitty accessories, little girls cannot get enough of it. Finally, the last in the collection is called Call Me Princess, perfect for embellishing the prettiest fairy-tale dresses of little girls everywhere. Naturally, each of these fragrances comes in very colorful bottles. They fit perfectly into the overall atmosphere of the Hello Kitty animated films. Moreover, while they delight children, it should be noted that they are also highly appreciated by fans of the character, who collect all the merchandise related to this endearing little white cat.
