Christian Louboutin
The Louboutin brand was created in 1991 by Christian Louboutin. He opened his first boutique on Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Less than a year later, Caroline de Monaco and Anna Wintour (editor-in-chief of Vogue) took an interest in his creations… Success was immediate, since two years later he opened a boutique in New York! From 1995 onward, Christian Louboutin became the shoemaker for numerous fashion shows, notably those of Azzaro, Yves Saint Laurent, and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

The story of Christian Louboutin
Since childhood, young Christian drew shoes… Passion, obsession, genius? A child of 1980s Paris, Christian loved watching the Folies Bergère and walking through the streets of the capital. In 1992, just a year after opening his boutique, Louboutin opened a shoe store on Rue de Grenelle. It was nicknamed by his clients “Le Boudoir”… Most Louboutin shoes are made by Italians, with great attention to detail. Ravishing curves, stiletto heels, red pumps — the Louboutin style established itself in Paris as a matter of course. Highly favored by stars, Louboutin was entrusted with creating custom-made shoes for certain celebrities, such as Victoria Beckham and Kylie Minogue. The Louboutin red pump is today a symbol of absolute femininity.
Louboutin and perfume
After shoes, lipstick, and nail polish, Christian Louboutin ventured into perfume creation. In creating a perfume line, Louboutin wished to offer women the freedom to express themselves and showcase their femininity, he explains. It is not one perfume, but three, that he envisioned. For his triad, he chose particularly striking names: Bikini Questa Sera, Tornade Blonde, Trouble in Heaven. Each of his perfumes aims to be unique and claims its own story. Bikini Questa Sera evokes the scent of a captivating night. Jasmine and tuberose blend on the skin, while amber and gold tones recall a warm sunset. Tornade Blonde is the perfume of love and adventure. Rose, blackcurrant, and violet come together to offer an animalic and floral fragrance. Trouble in Heaven provokes and stokes the fire. Iris, patchouli, and tonka bean here offer an intimate fragrance resonating with oriental charm...
Passionate about and obsessed with shoes, designer Christian Louboutin became a favorite of the stars. After opening his first boutique, he brought a very distinctive Parisian style. Bold, he established his red sole, which made him an unprecedented creator. After shoes, he launched a triad of hypnotic perfumes… Success, prestige, and glory for this little boy in love with shoes.
